So this blog is like the rising of the phoenix. I will start writing again as part of my thoughts in a new communication class where we will explore new media and its impact on our every day life. I will share my thoughts and musings on a central theme.
And it is:
What are the implications of new media on democracy and public participation?
This topic, seems to me, to be of great relevance in this day and age when our country has just inaugurated a new president who won in large part because of his internet network and media savvy. And as in the past administration it will be bloggers, citizens journalists who will hold the administration as well as the mainstream media accountable.
I look forward to fleshing out these concepts on this blog.
